About Gurley GAVE

Founded in 2025 Gurley Growth & Action for Village Enhancement (GAVE) is a nonprofit organization created by a group of community members who want to see Gurley not only survive, but thrive. 

We offer a variety of different local businesses, places of worship, and a well established school district.  There are also opportunities for those interested in opening up shop in town.

Founded in 1913, Gurley, NE began as a railroad town just 12 miles north of Sidney.  Like Bridgeport, Dalton, and Lorenzo, Gurley became the location of grain elevators along the Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy Railroads in Cheyenne County.
